Sequential Injected System: 4 Cylinder

What's the system suitable for?


This Romano injected LPG system should be suitable for any 8 cylinder fuel injected engine.

We specifically use this front end conversion kit on the Motronic (Thor) Rover V8 as found on the post 2000 P38 Range Rovers 4.0, 4.6 litre and also the Series II Discovery 4.0 litre.

The Romano Sequential Injection LPG front end kit suitable for Rover V8’s with Fuel injection engine. Although we only use these kits on the later Motronic (Thor) Rover V8’s it will also work on the earlier Sagem (Gem’s) and Lucas 14CUX (Hotwire) Fuel Injection systems

Please note that it is a requirement of all LPG systems as supplied by Partsrange (RPi Engineering) that once fitted, the installation shoud be checked over, set up and certified by RPi or by an LPG certified fitter.

Switch Unit


Once fitted the LPG switch has three operating modes which are changed between by a simple push button.

  • Petrol: As the name suggests this mode is to run the engine on petrol and the LPG system is inactive.
  • Petrol run out: When switching from petrol to LPG it is necessary to run the float bowls out of petrol before switching to LPG again the LPG system is inactive however this time along with the petrol system.
  • LPG: This activates the LPG solenoids and allows the engine to run on LPG, with the petrol system still inactive.

This switch also has a gauge in the form of 1 Red LED and several Green ones that indicates the level of LPG in the tank.
